Downline meeting projects

Last week, I held my first real official downline meeting.  I have always attended meetings with my upline and 1 or 2 of my own downline, but now my little team of stampers is growing! - so proud (heehee).   There were five of us that enjoyed the evening with stamping, chocolate and a little wine.  The first project is one that I cased from Jackie Topa - she is an amazingly talented demonstrator and so wonderful for sharing her idea.  You can see her blog at http://www.jackietopa.typepad.com/.  This is using the Petal Cone Die as well as the Fun Flowers Die and if you don't have the BigShot yet, what are you waiting for.  I just love mine and use it probably everytime I sit down to make something.   The second one is a card made with the Clearly For You set, it's a very elegant set and the colors are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.  Funny how once the name changed to Crumb Cake, everyone uses it way more than when it was call Kraft!!  I'm off to my workshop tonite to get my club projects ready for next week.  I have also tackled my box of pictures - oh my goodness there must be at least 400 pictures in there that I swore I was going to scrapbook (when I first started scrappin - dillusional me!).  So I have bought some photo albums and am trying to get them all in there - what a job.   I would love to be up to date on the albums, both photo and scrapbooks, but where or where can I find the time.

Nature Walk

This is another card with the beautiful Nature Walk set and the co-ordinating designer paper - Botannical Gazette.  The whole color scheme is Very Vanilla and Basic Black with a little crumb cake thrown in for a shadowing effect around the stamped images.  I have also stamped over my designer paper with a versamark and the floral image from this set which you can't see in this picture (sorry)

We are into second week of spring break in my house....hmmmm, will we make it?  I sure wish the weather was better instead of being stuck in the house all day.  I wouldn't mind so much if the kids didn't mind, but they just get bored - where as I could spend the whole day in my craft room - I really need a nanny!  LOL!

I am trying to get in there today and create some things for this weeks's blog posts as well as my downline meeting and two clubs next week.  Hope to have some fabulous creation for you tomorrow!

Nature Walk and a note about upcoming scrapbook class

Here is a Nature Walk card that I began with.  I watercolored the butterfly and died my pearls!!  The pearls didn't turn out exactly how I had wanted but I'll need to practice that technique a little more.  This is such a beautiful set and perfect for so many occasions.  And of course, if you have the set you must have the co-ordinating paper - Botanical Gazzette.

Vintage Wallpaper

These two cards were CASED from Brenda Hukriede.  Another demonstrator who I saw on our Stampin' Up forums.  When you are a demonstrator there is a "Stampin' Connection" website where demos all over Canada and the US, share tips and ideas and tons of new stuff everyday - just a little perk for demos!

I loved the classic, simple, clean design of her card.  The only thing I did a little differently was colors, which are Regal Rose and Old Olive.  I created the front panel in two different ways - one of them is brayered ink over the DE-bossed side and the other is brayered ink over the EM-bossed side.  It's so hard to get a really great picture, so club girls....you'll get to see these in real life!

Enjoy your afternoon, I'm off to the swimming pool to try and occupy my little "spring breakers"!  It'll be baby's first time in the pool as well.

Simply Adorned

I can't believe that I forgot to share this with all of you.  This was a gift that my sister, and downline, made for me and gave it to me at our recent trip to the Vancouver Regionals.  It's a tiny scissor charm, I love it.  This picture is really not great, so hard taking pics at night in my house.  I felt very special to have received this....and now everytime I grab my scissors I am reminded of her and am thankful that our relationship has grown so much closer ......all because of our common addiction!!

Sweet and Sour Owls

Here is just a quick little card I did yesterday afternoon.  The owls are just so cute, the layout quick and easy and I think I'm done with the Sweet and Sour DSP for a bit.  I like to have a whole bunch of cards in one paper to display and I made about 7 cards yesterday.  I'm onto a new set now, but you'll have to check back tomorrow to see those ones!

I Cased Myself

This is a card that I have made before in Early Espresso and Blushing Bride, I made it again in different colors (Sweet and Sour Specialty DSP) and changed up the embellishments a little.  Sometimes when I haven't been able to create for a while, I get a little stuck, so re-creating something gets the mojo going again!  This is the Birthday Bakery hostess set that you can earn for free when you host your own workshop - we could make this card at your workshop!

Hopefully I get a little more time this afternoon to make some more things to share!
